How can PA residents escape the catch 22 of being Low Income, but PA not expanding medicaid? We applied on HealthCare.gov hoping for a no cost/low cost subsidized price (Income only $17500 per year). Our response from HealthCare.gov read "based on the information you provided, the new federal health care law states you are eligible for free or low cost health care through Medicaid. However, the state of PA has chosen not to offer you this new health care coverage at this time." All decent well-covered plans are well over $300 per month and we dont have the income to support that.
I currently have health insurance for my family. It is very costly and I pay the entire premium. Could I possibly find less expensive insurance with this program? Or does already having insurance prevent me from using this program?
my employer didn't offer us anything this year. I got a plan on my own but it isn't a majormedical plan and doesn't have maternity on it. I can't offord anything on the gov plan what should I do- wait and see what my employer does or what
Went to the exchange and entered income that should have made me eligible for medicaid. Instead I received an answer saying I was not qualified for any assistance and that I could purchase private insurance. Looked at the cost and I could never afford. Why didnt it automatically say I should have been eligible for medicaid? Income 11,000. York Co.
I live in Lebanon, but am in Philadelphia several days each week. If I buy a policy listed for Lebanon county, but need health care when I'm in Philly, will I be able to find a doctor or hospital that will accept my insurance?
Last night I got on the Obamacare marketplace website just to check on prices and eligibility. I began typing my info and it auto filled some of it. I clicked on "check for plans" and within a minute someone called my home phone and was selling me insurance. Do they have live reps calling your home within minutes of logging on or was this a hacker??
